Project Overview:
As Launchpad Impact Ventures scaled, so did the need for a more structured, strategic, and empowered product team. Leading a fully remote setup, I built and matured the product function from the ground up. We moved from scattered practices to a unified, agile-driven system that empowered product managers, improved delivery cadence, and aligned more effectively with business goals.
This wasn’t just about setting up tools or workflows. It was about building a shared language of product across time zones. I focused on bringing clarity to roles, consistency to documentation, and rhythm to our delivery cycles. The goal was to create a product culture that is proactive, collaborative, and capable of solving complex problems at scale.
Following Agile methodologies, I adapted frameworks to fit the realities of a distributed team. I prioritized flexibility without losing structure. Along the way, I mentored beginner to mid-level product managers, championed the use of AI to streamline tactical work, and transformed ad hoc rituals into repeatable, scalable systems. The result was a team that moved faster, communicated with purpose, and built with clarity.

Key Outcomes:
-
Agile Foundations with Flexibility: I introduced a cadence of sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and reviews—helping the team internalize Agile as more than just a process, but a mindset of continuous improvement.
-
People Development: I created learning tracks for junior and mid-level product managers. This included regular 1:1s, hands-on coaching, and knowledge-sharing sessions that helped them own their roadmaps, write better stories, and lead discovery with confidence.
-
AI-Augmented Workflows: I piloted the use of AI tools to assist with product documentation, story generation, summarizing user interviews, and early validation. This allowed the team to focus more on strategic thinking and less on admin work.
-
Unified Documentation & Reporting: I introduced standardized templates for PRDs, acceptance criteria, and sprint reviews. We built a knowledge base that became a living reference for the team, reducing confusion and improving cross-team handovers.
-
Jira Optimization: I restructured our Jira boards to match our workflow better. Automating statuses, integrating sprint reporting, and aligning multiple project workflows. This made it easier to monitor velocity, surface blockers, and manage scope.
-
Discovery & Workshops: I facilitated cross-functional workshops for product discovery, stakeholder alignment, and feature prioritization. This helped bridge the gap between what users need and what the business can deliver.
-
Team Health & Visibility: I set up regular performance reporting across initiatives, helped leadership visualize product impact, and ensured that product wasn’t just shipping—but shipping the right things.
